Those of you who appreciate the bounty of Mother Nature, hate to see it go to waste and enjoy picking fruits and flowers to make wild crafted wines will find Dandelion Wine right up your proverbial alley.

There are many flowers, herbs and fruits available to the Frugal Vintner the specific ones, of course, depend on your location.  When using wild flowers, herbs, and fruits - please consult a reputable plant identification guide or someone knowledgeable of herbs and/or wild foods if you are not certain of the plant's identity or edibility.  Many plants look similar and there are some toxic plants you will prefer not to use.

That said - Here is a list of many, but of course, not all fruits, flowers, and herbs one can find wild and collect.  These add flavor, bouquet, and nutrients, including phytonutrients (antioxidents, etc.) to the wine.

If you wish for me to add one of your favorites to the list(s), please email me and tell me your state, province, or country if outside of the US or Canada.  Also, if you've made wine from the plant.  It will be fun to see what other wild-wine crafty people are making.
